Do I Really Need to Invest in Typography?
Every single day, you are exposed to typography of some sort. Whether that is on a website, side of a bus, billboard or tv adverts. If these are done professionally, and the right amount of time and research has gone into the psychology of how typography can influence buyers; then you probably won’t even think anything about it when you read the article or advert.
However, if it is done badly or too many fonts are used of the wrong type you will categorically notice and probably make your mind up there and then not to use the company. Imagine for a moment, if you went onto a solicitors website and they had used 2 types of font. One of them almost makes the text illegible and hurts your eyes. Another is actually a font you would probably associate with a childrens toy shop or similar.
How do you think you would react? In all likelihood you will decide that it looks childish and question how professional the solicitor would be. You will have judged them in that instant before even speaking to them.

Typograpy with Digital Sprout
Typography is the art and technique of arranging type. It’s central to the work and skills of a designer and is about much more than making the words legible. Our choice of typeface and how we make it work for your website heavily impacts the experience of your site visitors.
When we take on your project, we conduct extensive research into your industry and that includes researching your biggest competitor sites. We look at the trends of typography within the industry itself and we work from there.
We will come up with several styles of font that fit with your industry, whilst at the same time trying to ensure that your font is unique and gives you an edge over your competitors. We highly recommend working with two or three fonts at the most and we will always select fonts that are complimentary to one another. We will ensure that there is just the right amount of spacing between letters in your headers and paragraph text.
